What has happened so far with ChatGPT

I have chosen the top three businesses that appeal to me most from the 10 business ideas recommended by ChatGPT. I plan to use ChatGPT to compare these three options and ultimately select one to actually build and implement the business.

Comparing business viability

I felt the need to determine which of the three business items I chose has the best business viability. If I were to verify and validate this information by myself, it would probably take a considerable amount of time. However, if I ask ChatGPT, I should be able to receive a satisfactory answer within a few minutes.

I was able to receive a more satisfactory answer from ChatGPT than I expected. To get this response, I needed three question techniques.

First, I asked ChatGPT for 20 factors to compare the business viability. Next, I requested that the content be presented in a table format. Finally, I asked to include the total scores in the table. Through these three questions, I was able to receive a neat and visually pleasing answer as mentioned above.

In fact, I have little knowledge about business. This means that I don't need to worry too much about which business to choose. The most important thing is to see how easily I can start a business through ChatGPT. Therefore, I was able to choose the Affiliate Marketing business, which had the highest viability score, without much hesitation.

Next step

I plan to use ChatGPT to find out in detail what I need to prepare and the choices I need to make to start my Affiliate Marketing business.

What has happened so far with ChatGPT

ChatGPT suggested the "Online Customized Gift Store" business to me. When asked about the project's budget, the estimated cost ranged from $400 to $1500. Since the proposed idea exceeds my $100 budget, I need to reevaluate the project from the start.

Ask again

There's no major inconvenience in reassessing the business from the beginning. That's because, when I point out ChatGPT's incorrect answer, it takes less than a minute to receive a new, corrected suggestion. Let's ask ChatGPT again for ideas that can be executed with a $100 budget.

"My budget is limited to $100. Can you suggest another business idea within this budget range that could potentially earn a minimum of $1000 per day? Additionally, I'd like to exclude businesses that involve other people. Please leave out ideas that require hiring a designer or finding a business partner."

(ChatGPT-4)

With a budget of $100 and the preference for a solo business, I recommend starting a digital product business focused on selling e-books, online courses, or printable templates. Here's an outline of the business idea:

Digital Product Business

Overview: Create and sell digital products such as e-books, online courses, or printable templates on various topics. These products can be sold on platforms like Etsy, Gumroad, Amazon Kindle, or your own website.

Steps to start:

1. Identify your niche: Focus on a subject you're knowledgeable about or have a passion for, such as self-help, fitness, cooking, or photography.

2. Develop your product: Write an e-book, create an online course, or design printable templates that cater to the needs and interests of your target audience.

3. Set up a selling platform: You can start with Etsy or Gumroad, which have low fees and are easy to use, or create your own website using a platform like Shopify or WordPress with WooCommerce.

4. Market your product: Use social media, SEO, and content marketing strategies to promote your product to your target audience. Optimize your listings with keywords and compelling descriptions.

5. Collect customer feedback: Use reviews and customer feedback to improve your products and create new offerings that cater to the needs of your audience.

6. Scale up: As your business grows, consider expanding your product range and exploring additional sales channels, such as Amazon Kindle for e-books or Udemy for online courses.

Initial costs:

1. Selling platform fees: Etsy charges a $0.20 listing fee per item and a transaction fee, while Gumroad has a free plan with a higher transaction fee. Creating a website with Shopify or WordPress will have monthly costs starting from around $30.

2. Marketing: A limited budget means relying mostly on organic marketing methods such as social media, blogging, and SEO. Allocate some budget for low-cost promotions like Facebook Ads or Google Ads if possible.

3. Tools and software: You may need software for writing, designing, or recording your digital products. Free or low-cost alternatives like Google Docs, Canva, and Audacity can help keep costs down.

Given the low initial costs and no need for inventory, this business can be started with a $100 budget. However, reaching $1000 per day will require time, effort, and effective marketing strategies. Consistently creating high-quality digital products and building a strong online presence are key factors in achieving your financial goals.

When I pointed out the budget constraints to ChatGPT, I noticed a definite improvement in the response. However, the business idea suggested by GPT is quite different from my prior experience, which may lead to difficulties from the outset. I thought that identifying a business I could easily start would be of utmost importance. So, I asked ChatGPT to propose 10 different business ideas.

(ChatGPT-4)

Here are 10 additional business ideas that you can consider for your entrepreneurial journey:

1. Affiliate Marketing: Promote products or services from other companies and earn a commission for each sale made through your unique referral links. Focus on a niche and create content on a blog, YouTube channel, or social media platform.

2. Print-on-Demand Book Publishing: Write and self-publish books using print-on-demand services like Amazon KDP. This allows you to publish physical books without the need for inventory, as they're printed only when an order is placed.

3. Social Media Management: Offer social media management services to small businesses, helping them create content, schedule posts, and engage with their audience across various platforms.

4. Virtual Assistant: Provide administrative and organizational support to entrepreneurs and small businesses remotely, such as managing emails, scheduling appointments, and handling data entry tasks.

5. Online Tutoring: Share your knowledge and expertise in a subject by offering tutoring services through video calls or online platforms like Preply or Tutor.com.

6. Stock Photography: If you have a talent for photography, sell your photos on stock photography websites like Shutterstock or Adobe Stock.

7. YouTube Content Creator: Start a YouTube channel and create content in a niche that interests you. Monetize your channel through ad revenue, sponsorships, and affiliate marketing.

8. Freelance Writing: Offer content writing, copywriting, or technical writing services to businesses on a freelance basis. Find clients through platforms like Upwork or by networking within your industry.

9. Graphic Design Services: Provide graphic design services such as logo design, social media graphics, and branding materials for businesses. Advertise your services on freelance platforms or create a portfolio website to showcase your work.

10. Online Coaching or Consulting: Offer coaching or consulting services in your field of expertise, such as business, personal development, or fitness. Conduct sessions through video calls and promote your services through a website, blog, or social media channels.

Each of these business ideas can be started with a low budget and adapted to your unique skills and interests. To achieve success, focus on building a strong online presence, delivering high-quality products or services, and providing exceptional customer experiences.

Next step

This question helped me expand my options. Among the 10 business ideas proposed by ChatGPT, I found three of them most appealing: Affiliate Marketing, Stock Photography, and YouTube Content Creator. In the upcoming article, I'll discuss how GPT can be utilized when choosing one of these three businesses.

What has happened so far with ChatGPT

I requested ChatGPT to suggest a business idea capable of earning $1000 a day with a budget of $100, and it recommended an "Online Customized Gift Store" venture. We will move forward with the process of verifying the actual viability of this business through specific questions.

Evaluate the feasibility of the business idea

My Question : Thanks for recommending "An online customized gift store" as a way to make $1000 a day. Looks like good business. Please give me some advice on what I can do to surpass competitors who have already started the business. And analyze the estimated cost and estimated period required to run the business.

(ChatGPT-4)

I'm glad you find the online customized gift store idea appealing. Here are some strategies to help you stand out from the competition, along with an analysis of estimated costs and time required to launch the business:

Strategies to surpass competitors:

  1. Unique Product Offerings: Collaborate with local artists or niche designers to create exclusive designs, and expand your product line to include items that competitors don't offer.
  2. Exceptional Customer Service: Provide top-notch customer support, including a user-friendly return policy, prompt responses to inquiries, and personalized assistance.
  3. Targeted Marketing: Identify your target audience and tailor marketing efforts accordingly. Utilize social media, influencer partnerships, and paid advertising to reach potential customers.
  4. Platform Integration: Offer seamless integration with popular e-commerce platforms such as Etsy, Amazon, or eBay to increase your store's visibility and accessibility.
  5. Loyalty Programs and Promotions: Encourage repeat business by offering discounts, referral programs, and rewards for loyal customers.

Estimated costs and time:

  1. Website Development: Building a professional website can cost between $100 and $500, depending on the complexity and features. This process might take 2-4 weeks.
  2. Inventory and Production: Partnering with a print-on-demand service minimizes upfront costs, as you'll only pay for products once a customer orders them. You'll need to account for the base cost of products and the printing service's fees.
  3. Marketing: Allocate a monthly budget for advertising, such as Google Ads and social media promotions. The cost can range from $300 to $1000+ per month, depending on the scale of your campaigns.
  4. Miscellaneous: Set aside funds for unexpected expenses, such as legal fees, licensing, or software subscriptions.

Considering these factors, it may take around 3-6 months to launch your online customized gift store and start generating consistent revenue. Keep in mind that these estimates can vary based on your business strategy, marketing efforts, and other factors.

The moment I read ChatGPT's response, I realized one thing for certain. When asking ChatGPT for suggestions, it's crucial to present very specific conditions, but I didn't. That's why I received an answer that was entirely different from my intention.

I don't wish to hire new business partners or employees. However, for this particular business idea, it's essential to collaborate with a designer, which would require hiring a partner or employee.

Another issue is that I have a budget of $100, but the estimated cost for the business suggested by ChatGPT ranges from $400 to $1500+. I mentioned this at the beginning of the question, but ChatGPT didn't remember it.

Since I've confirmed through tests that ChatGPT does improve with repeated recognition, it's not a major concern, and I'll just have to mention the budget part again.

Furthermore, I'll engage in a conversation with ChatGPT to identify business ideas with a shorter preparation period.

Next step

I will provide more detailed conditions to ChatGPT in order to address the three issues mentioned above (business direction, budget, and preparation period). By reading the subsequent article, you may gain insights into the types of conditions you can present to ChatGPT in order to receive the best possible answers when posing questions.

What is ChatGPT?

ChatGPT is a conversational AI developed by OpenAI. It is designed to engage in natural conversations with users, answer questions, and provide useful information. The underlying architecture is based on the GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer) model, which has gone through several iterations, each improving upon the previous version.

ChatGPT 4 is the latest version and comes with a cost. I'm using the paid version and am quite satisfied with it; the paid version seems essential for work-related tasks with GPT. However, for those who want to use ChatGPT casually for personal use, I recommend trying the free version, ChatGPT 3.5.

Process of building a website

I plan to create it myself following ChatGPT's guidance as closely as possible, and if there's an easier way, I'll utilize other AI services or website building platforms.

Ways to promote my website

I intend to use Google Ads to promote my website. Learning how to use Google Ads now will be extremely helpful for other related tasks in the future. While interacting with ChatGPT, I was able to obtain the following information related to Google Ads.

Google Ads is a powerful advertising platform that can help businesses of all sizes, including small businesses, to increase their online presence and drive more leads. By setting up a Google Ads campaign, you can create targeted ads that appear on Google search results pages, as well as on Google Display Network partner websites and apps. The platform operates on a pay-per-click (PPC) model, meaning you only pay when someone clicks on your ad.

To start using Google Ads for your business, you'll need to create a new account and set up a campaign. The process involves selecting your campaign type, target audience, location, budget, and choosing relevant keywords for your ads. Proper keyword research is essential to the success of your campaign, as it helps ensure that your ads reach the right audience.

Managing your Google Ads campaign is crucial for achieving the best results. You can use tools like the Google Ads Business Manager to monitor and control your ads, or consider outsourcing to a professional agency that specializes in Google Ads management. Pricing for management services can vary, so it's essential to research and compare costs before making a decision.

Understanding the costs associated with Google Ads is vital for any business owner. Factors like maximum cost-per-click (CPC) bid, ad quality score, and competition for targeted keywords can influence the overall cost of your campaign. Tools such as the Google Ad Cost Estimator, AdWords Cost Estimator, and Google CPC Estimator can help you estimate your potential costs and calculate your return on investment.

Google Ads offers promotional deals for new advertisers, including ad credits for new accounts, which can help reduce initial costs and allow you to experiment with different ad strategies. Monitoring and optimizing your ads is essential to make the most of your budget and achieve the best results.

In conclusion, Google Ads is a valuable marketing tool for businesses looking to expand their online reach and generate more leads. With proper campaign setup, management, and optimization, you can effectively leverage the platform to grow your business.

The first question to ChatGPT

When engaging with ChatGPT, it might be challenging to get a satisfactory answer right away. However, by being patient and asking very specific questions, you can obtain information as valuable as answers from experts in the field. This process can be tedious, but it will ultimately save you a considerable amount of time compared to searching for and organizing information on your own.

My initial question was "I plan to work with you to create a business that makes at least $1000 a day on the Internet. The budget is $100, and all courses must not contain illegal elements. Your role is to propose a business idea and tell me all the details.". ChatGPT's reply was as follows.

Overview: An online customized gift store that allows customers to personalize various products such as t-shirts, mugs, phone cases, and more with their own designs or pre-made templates. Customers can choose from a range of products and upload their images or text to create unique, personalized gifts for themselves or others.

Details:

1. Create a user-friendly website with a simple, visually appealing design.

2. Partner with a reliable print-on-demand service to handle product manufacturing and shipping.

3. Develop pre-made design templates for popular products and occasions, such as birthdays, weddings, and holidays.

4. Offer user-friendly tools to enable customers to easily upload their images and add text to products.

5. Implement a secure payment gateway for processing transactions.

6. Market the store on various platforms and invest in advertising to drive traffic to the website.

7. Offer customer support and handle any issues that may arise.

8. Regularly update the product catalog and design templates to keep the store fresh and relevant.

9. Monitor analytics and make data-driven decisions to improve the customer experience and increase sales.

10. Focus on exceptional customer service to encourage repeat business and positive word-of-mouth.

Indeed, the online customized gift store has potential for profit, but entering a competitive market demands innovative strategies and assertive marketing. In my upcoming article, I'll explore the business value and feasibility of ChatGPT's recommended idea through an insightful QnA session with ChatGPT. Stay tuned!
